The shelf life of ceramic refractory silicone rubber tape at room temperature is five years. It is recommended to use it within six months. If it exceeds six months, it can still be used after passing the inspection.

Due to the superior properties of refractory silica gel, the wires and cables it produces have a wide range of applications. Such as: hospitals, theaters, commercial buildings, subways, tunnels, railways, airports, stations, large public sports, entertainment venues, large supermarkets, hotels and other crowded places; TV stations, military facilities, nuclear power plants and other power and communication facilities have stricter requirements Fields; coal, chemical, pharmaceutical, steel, metallurgy, shipbuilding and other industries with relatively harsh external environments.
1. Forming a self-supporting ceramic body in a flame When a rubber fireproof material containing an inorganic filler is exposed to a flame, the rubber degrades or burns, leaving less strong inorganic residues or ash after the degradation or combustion products volatilize. These residues are usually non-agglomerated or self-supporting, or even broken into granules or powders, and therefore have no fire protection effect. When the specially designed ceramified rubber is exposed to flame, depending on the type of rubber and the adjustment of the formula, ceramization can occur in the range of 500-800°C or above, and sintered into a porous self-supporting ceramic body, within a certain period of time (0.5 ~2h) Internal energy can maintain the integrity of the structure, can play the role of “passive fire prevention” well, and win precious time for fire safety.

2. It has a certain strength and good thermal shock resistance. The sintered body after ceramicization is relatively hard, with a ceramic sound when knocked, and has a certain flexural strength and crush strength. The flexural strength of ceramized silicone rubber specimens is much greater than that of ordinary silicone rubber, and increases significantly with the increase of temperature. The sintered body of ceramized silicone rubber does not burst and shows good thermal shock resistance by spraying water on the specimen ablated at high temperature by simulating the firefighting process.

3. Halogen-free, low-smoke, low-toxicity, self-extinguishing, environmentally friendly ceramicized silicone rubber can achieve flame-retardant and self-extinguishing effects without adding halogen flame retardants, and the flame retardancy is UL94V-0. Under the ablation of the flame, the smoke will be completely cut off after being burned for a few minutes, and in the subsequent ablation process, no more smoke will be produced. The combustion of ceramicized silicone rubber produces carbon dioxide, water and silicon dioxide, all of which are non-toxic.

4. The electrical properties of the optimized ceramized silicone rubber—the volume resistivity before sintering is not less than 1015 Ω•cm. As the sintering temperature increases, its volume resistivity decreases. After burning at 1000 °C for 30 minutes, its The volume resistivity dropped to 107 Ω•cm.

5. The production equipment of easy-to-process ceramicized silicone rubber compounding rubber is the same as that of ordinary silicone rubber. The rubber compound has good extrusion performance and molding performance. It can be directly extruded and vulcanized into wire and cable using silicone rubber wire and cable equipment without additional equipment. . The production process of the fire-resistant cable is simplified and the cost is reduced.
